Using XpresHAn Technology, this filler consists of biocompatible hyaluronic acid that hydrates, volumizes, and en the elasticity of the skin.
Ingredients
The ingredients of this filler include 20mg/ml of hyaluronic acid suspended in a phosphate buffer saline q.s. This filler also includes lidocaine.
Ingredient Information
The aging process and subsequent loss of dermal moisture creates a rough texture on the skin. The skin also loses its tonicity and elasticity, which creates a sagging, folding, and wrinkling surface. Prominent folds, such as nasolabial folds and marionette lines, can form as a result of these developments.
An optimal solution to the problems to introduce hyaluronic acid into the skin. Generally, this substance is naturally found in the body as a hydrating and moisturizing component. With a capability of attracting water molecules at a rate of 1,000 times its own weight, this substance increases the volume and integrity of the dermis. However, the body’s natural hyaluronic acid content gradually depletes as the body ages. Therefore, replenishment of this substance is the safest and most noninvasive treatment for reducing the signs of aging.
Restylane Refyne is manufactured via XpresHAn Technology, which provides customization of the degree of cross-linking in the hyaluronic acid of fillers. Restylane Refyne synthetic yet biocompatible hyaluronic acid is derived from Streptococcus bacteria. This product’s formulation gives it a diverse range of flexibility and support properties that are ideal for specific treatments. The cross-linking between this filler’s hyaluronic acid helps this filler resist degradation in the body for a long period of time, thereby ensuring the filler has longer durability.
Use Instructions
How Do I Use or Apply Restylane Refyne?
Before proceeding with the main treatment, obtain the patient’s medical history to help avoid any complications. Then, contain their informed consent. For the treatment itself, start by disinfecting the area(s) to be treated with antiseptic treatment to reduce the risk of infections occurring. Although lidocaine is included in this filler, you may apply a supplementary topical anesthetic to the area(s) to reduce patient pain and discomfort during the injection process.
Attach the provided needle into the syringe. Push and rotate the needle firmly to secure the assembly. Before the injection, remove any excess air in the needle by pressing the plunger rod slowly until a small droplet is visible at the tip of the needle. Insert the needle into the mid-to-deep dermis using an appropriate injection technique for the patient’s needs. You may use a retrograde linear threading technique, serial puncture technique, or a combination of both to achieve the optimal results. Use 1.5ml of this filler for nasolabial folds correction and 1ml per treatment site for retreatment. Do not overcorrect.
After completing the injection, gently massage the treated site(s) to evenly distribute the gel and to get it to contour to the surrounding tissues. Patients may use an ice pack to minimize swelling and pain.
